Hands on Physics
HOP! Hands of Physics is a project by CERN, the European Laboratory for Particle Physics, Fondazione Agnelli, and INFN - National Institute for Nuclear Physics, which brings a real physics laboratory to middle schools in Italy, of which Level Up is the producer.
HOP offers an educational kit with which boys and girls can carry out more than 20 scientific activities directly in class, promoting an early learning of the scientific method, sciences, and, in particular, physics, with an eye on its contemporary developments and challenges.
HOP is an educational innovation project in STEM subjects carried out with the financial support of Intesa Sanpaolo and the Stellantis Foundation, the philanthropic entity of Stellantis.
Content
5 cases covering four different physics topics:
- Scientific Method
- Pressure
- Light
- Electric Charge
The first suitcase covers the SCIENTIFIC METHOD through a path of questions and answers.
In the second and third suitcase of the HOP kit, we talk about PRESSURE: in particular the concepts of density, pressure, vacuum, and the phenomenon of buoyancy.
In the fourth suitcase, you can explore the main properties of LIGHT.
And in the last suitcase, you will find the material to conduct experiments on ELECTRIC CHARGE.
