In 2023, we won the tender to be the producers of the HOP! Hands On Physics kit, conceived and designed by CERN, Fondazione Agnelli, and INFN - Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare, supported by Intesa Sanpaolo and the Stellantis Foundation.
HOP! Hands on Physics" is the project by CERN, Fondazione Agnelli, and INFN - Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare that brings a real physics laboratory into the classrooms of Italian middle schools, of which Level Up is the producer.
The kit is a large trunk containing 5 briefcases covering 5 physics topics for conducting experiments, and it is available to all first-grade secondary schools throughout Italy.
Discover what's inside the HOP kit!
HOP offers an educational kit with which boys and girls can carry out more than 20 scientific activities directly in the classroom. It promotes an early learning of the scientific method, of sciences, and particularly of physics, with an eye on its contemporary developments and challenges.
The kit, constructed in our laboratories, is a product of educational innovation in STEM subjects conceived, produced, and promoted by CERN in Geneva, the European Laboratory for Particle Physics, Fondazione Agnelli, and INFN - Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare, with the financial support of Intesa Sanpaolo and the Stellantis Foundation, the philanthropic entity of Stellantis.
HOP is indeed free, and engaging and fun workshop days are offered to train teachers starting from November all over Italy.
The HOP - Hands on Physics kit is for us a truly important work that we are able to carry forward thanks to the collaboration with two local entities that we would like to thank for their help and support in this project.
Cooperativa Smart - Trento, which assembles all the components of the kit and then ships them to the schools participating in the project.
And F4 Cartotecnica, which assisted us in the creation of the large box and briefcases, as well as providing and working on all the cardboard parts of the kit.
