The show addresses the importance of basic research in science. The 'Medicine of the Future' can only exist if society invests in research today, even without knowing if it will yield positive results (failure in science is very common) and without having control over the timing of any positive results. This is the main educational objective, a topic that we further discuss in the Q&A session at the end of the show. The main theme is personalized medicine, which uses DNA, sex, race, and age of the patient to identify the best available treatment. The show also tells about some innovative gene therapies that are already used today to treat insidious diseases such as Epidermolysis Bullosa and corneal pathologies. Spectators can thus become familiar with these techniques and appreciate the great revolution that 'personalized medicine' is bringing to the medical field."
The show premiered in English at the World Expo in Dubai in January 2022. Later, it was reprised in Sofia as part of the Art & Science Festival Theater of Wonder program in October 2022.
